ESSAY CONTEST
Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. - Epsilon Chapter
is hosting a High School Essay Contest for college-bound male high school seniors in New York City!

The prize is a $4,000 4-year college Scholarship!
(DISBURSED IN INCREMENTS OF $500 PER SEMESTER)

RULES:
To be eligible, the student must be (1) a male senior at any high school in New York City, (2) a resident of New York City, and (3) bound for college in Fall 2024. This includes 2-year colleges and 4-year colleges.
The typewritten essay must be 750 – 1000 words, double-spaced, and must have a title page that includes your name, high school, and date of submission.
It will be judged on its readability, the defense and development of your opinion, your grammar, and your adherence to the word requirement.
You must complete this Google Form, which will ask for the following:
• Your biographical information, such as name, academic awards, and skills
• A recent photograph, preferably a headshot (GIF, JPEG, or PNG)
• Your essay answering the questions below (Word or PDF)

ESSAY PROMPT:
Artificial Intelligence is a growing factor on modern day society that has already had a permanent influence on our future. There is a significant amount of information, and misinformation, available about this relatively new technology, and there are frequently-forming opinions on the implications for human life.

ESSAY QUESTIONS:

What are the pros and cons of growing up in an AI age?

Predict how AI may affect your college experience. Describe how you might encounter or use AI, such as but not limited to voice recognition, social media, virtual agents, biometrics, machine learning, etc.

Explain how this entity may influence the future of Higher Education all together.
